Riemann Research

AI Research Laboratory

Riemann Research is Nigeria’s independent frontier AI laboratory. We’re committed to advancing intelligence and solving AI’s hardest problems — in the open, as papers and working systems.

Currently: Riemann Research Notebook · Muffler · Beyond AI Text Walls — 4 papers · 7 products

Lineage — Nigerian mathematics

We stand on Kuku, Ezeilo, Chidume, Alele-Williams, Emeagwali and others — Nigerian mathematics as our starting point for frontier work.

Note on the name
Bernhard Riemann

Riemann Research is named after Bernhard Riemann. In 1854, in the lecture that qualified him at Göttingen, he replaced the picture of space with the structure of space: rather than ask how a thing sits inside some larger coordinate system, he asked what is true of it locally. Geometry became intrinsic. Sixty years later, physics needed exactly that.

We hold this as an attitude rather than a programme. Most of the work here goes into structure — representation, invariants, what a system is — on the suspicion that the behaviour follows.

B. Riemann, Über die Hypothesen, welche der Geometrie zu Grunde liegen. Habilitation lecture, Göttingen, 1854.
